Augie the Golden Retriever dog celebrated her 20th birthday this week which made her the oldest golden retriever in history. What a woofnderful milestone and achievement! Let’s give her a snoot boop and wish her a belated Happy Birthday.
According to Golden Hearts, which reported the news, golden retrievers have been known to live to 17 – 18 years of age, but this is the first ever pupper to reach 20.
A more little about Augie
Augie’s actual name is August and she was born on April 24, 2000. She was rehomed as an elderly dog of 14. Her owners, Jennifer and Steve Hetterscheidt (Oakland, Tennessee) lovingly took her along on their travels across the country in their RV. They celebrated the occasion with a delicious dog friendly cake.
